Nifty Comics is currently open for submissions.We are in search of a colorist to work on covers for the upcoming ElfSong comic.  There is a token payment of $5 per cover and 10 copies of the printed comic for cover colorists.  If those terms are acceptable, then please continue reading and feel free to submit. Current page rate for finished artwork is $15/page (finished means both pencils and inks). We pay half of the total art fee once half the artwork has been turned in and the remainder upon delivery of the final art. There is a performance bonus if an artist completes and turns in approved artwork before a deadline. All work is work for hire.

We no longer accept print/mailed submissions.  Only electronic submissions are accepted – we prefer you to email a link to your high resolution work online.  E-mail submissions may be sent to: niftycomics@niftycomics.com

Note: Before sending us your work via e-mail, make sure to drop our submissions editor a note to make sure he’s taking e-mail submissions that week. Also, e-mailed work should be 50k in size or less.  Any attachments over 50K in size will not be downloaded and will be deleted.

FOR WRITERS: We are not currently looking for writers. Please DO NOT send proposals for new or creator owned series. We will not look at unsolicted proposals and they will not be opened and will be deleted.

FOR ARTISTS (Pencilers, Inkers, Letterers, Colorists): Please send links to high resolution samples of your work online — inkers especially need to have high resolution work posted so we can evaluate your work properly. All artists, please include at least 5-6 sequential comic book pages for evalutation. Letterers, please send only samples of comic-book style lettering (dialog, italic, bold, sound effects, etc.). Do not send samples of other types of lettering as this will not show how you would letter in comic-book format. Please DO NOT send proposals for new or creator owned series.
